This account of shipwreck and rescue by exotic `noble savages’ captured the imagination of Eighteenth century Britain. The Antelope’s crew were among the first westerners to make contact with Micronesian peoples. The boy Prince Lee Boo accompanied Captain Wilson back to London, where he died of smallpox. Hill 907
